Well, I just spent a week on Blavet, . We managed to catch 18 fish in total including one 41.8, six thirties 9 twenties to 29lb and 3 uper doubles with my son catching a new PB of 32lb and a 14lb 8 Wildy. A majority of the fish were taken on CC Moore Live System, with the remainder on Mainline's New Pineapple. For anyone planning to go to Blavet Berny and Gordon are great hosts. Its a same the weather wasn't as excellent as the food and hospitality we received from them both.
Gordon spent a great deal of time and effort on the lake, assisting us with the bait boat, and effectively doing all he could to make sure we all caught in what was a very challenging week weather wise.
Some of friends booked for August 05 while we were there (not married lucky gits), but I am sure we will return next year to fight another big'en.

Hi Boilie Chucker Glad you had a good time as we me and the family are off there in July and cant wait, even the misses and kids are looking forward to it, thats an added bounus. Sounds like you had some great fish out that week, lets hope i can hook a few too (I have ordered some mainline pineapple - thanks for that) Phil I had a word with Gordon about that swim at the top end of the lake and he said it does not contain any snags just hard fighting carp. Also I asked if they could send me some pics of the mobile home and the misses was well impressed so shes happy. Anyway I will let you all know how it goes.

Yeah Gordon has spent ages removing the snags and he's done a wonderfull job! I went with two pals in April the week after Phil, we had a great week with 30 fish out to 36 despite the cold Northerly wind! Food was superb and the place is seriously beautiful surrounded by pine trees. I will definately be going back, there are many uncaught fish in there and i'm determined to have a biggie!! The corner swim is good but we were catching them from all over the lake.... I loved it there! Gordon, Berny and Ross were great hosts and they should expect me back very soon to drink their beer and smoke their fags! Hope you have a great time mate, I'm sure you will! |

Just got back after a fantastic week at Blavet Valley Lakes. The week started a bit slow, only 4 fish up to 29.8 till Monday. On Tuesday and Wednesday I broke my pb TWICE 33.6 and 35.8 and on Friday I hit the jackpot with a 43.8 my total for the week was. 14 fish 1 x 40+ - 5 x 30+ (up to 38.4) 4 x 25-30 - 2 x 20-25 - 3 x 16-20. So I am 1 happy chap
The lake and setting is a place you dream of, the food was first class and the hospitality of Gordon (thanks for your excellent advice - it paid off), Berny and Ross was brill.
My misses and the kids had a good time (retail therapy with Berny) and were very comfortable in the mobile home. I took a day off to take the clan out to the beach.
We have already paid deposit for next year and cant wait. I would highly recommend Blavet Valley Lakes to anyone |

The best advise I can give anyone who is planning a trip to Blavet Valley Lakes is just ask Gordon. His advise is always spot on and he will go out of his way to assist you anyway he can. After all its their business and they want you to have a great time. Let us know how you get on - cant wait to go back next year. Good luck |
