The Car Park Lake covers some 9 acres and holds just a few very big
mirror carp. All these carp are well known and go by the names of Baby
Orange, Ugloe, Pearly Tail, The Dustbin, Big Orange and the largest two
fish in the lake have both topped the 50lb mark and are Heather and
Arfur, both fantastic and well sough after prizes…The lake also holds
four or five lovely looking Redmire strain common carp, one or two of
which now go over the 30lb mark.
A remarkable, historic and tough venue,
with a fantastic history and atmosphere. The
only drawbacks to fishing this lake are the amount of pressure it sees,
therefore the amount of anglers you will be sharing the bank with. Also
the fact that it’s not a true syndicate. CEMEX offer a gold card,
which means that anyone who holds this card can fish the lake at any
time. None of this however
should put you off fishing this fantastic lake and angling for some of the
most stunning fish you’ll ever see.
A syndicate waiting list is currently in operation for membership of
this venue, please contact CEMEX Angling on 01932 583630 if you wish to
add your name. Permits valid from 01 June to 31 March. 2 Rods 01 June - 31 October and
01 March - 31 March and 3 Rods 01 November - 28 February. There is a
48-hour maximum stay limit in operation. No silly bait bans.
