Machine Pond
Brynmawr,Gwent. 3 acre lake situated 7miles west of Abergavenny on the A465 "Heads of the Valleys Road". Carp to 25lbs have been caught on the surface, quite partial to Tutti Frutti boilies but fishmeals tend to work best. For more info tel: 01993842886 mob.07736709805.

Nine Oaks
A small pool near Aberaeron and Newquay

Padeswood Lake
Two small lakes in Padeswood, Clwyd, well stocked with carp to over 20lb
not too sure about day ticket prices but they can be obtained from Deeside Tackle Tel: 01244 813674.

Red House Farm
A farm house in a nice part of Wales provides B&B accommodation with an adjacent carp lake of about 1 1/4 acres in size and the carp run to about 15lb,  the fishing is £5 per day and free to those staying at the B&B  also there is Salmon & Trout on the farm charged at £5 per day...for more details call: 01597 824973.

Sarn Mill Coarse Lakes
Two small lakes  near Mold both about an acre each, well stocked with carp  to upper twenties, day tickets can be bought at the lake and are about  £5 per day Tel: 01352 720323.

Seven Oaks Fishery
Ysttradowen, Cowbridge-Wales - It's a small fairly shallow lake with max depth of about 4-6ft gently sloping from about a foot in the margins and the main features are the margins and the reeds, well stocked with carp from 2-10lb averaging about 5lb with the odd double and twenty. the lake record is 25lb+.
No night fishing, no barbed hooks, maximum hook size 10, and no boilies allowed.
Surface fishing works from early spring until late autumn here in all weather, legered halibut pellets are good for the larger carp, try fishing the margins too as they produce a lot of the bigger fish. For silver fish try worms, maggots, bread and meat. All methods will catch here and blanking is nearly unheard of even in the middle of winter so you can experiment with different baits, rigs etc.
